John
was born in Brooklyn NY on April 26,1941 and lived in Rockaway, Queens
for 8 years before his family moved to East Islip where he lived and
attended school. John joined the US Navy in 1957 and was honorably
discharged, after serving 4 plus years, in 1962.
John married Marie in
October 1965 and they have two sons John and Vincent. John and Marie
moved to Riverhead in 1972. One son graduated Mercy HS and one son
graduated Riverhead HS.
While working at Grumman
in Calverton, John was appointed to the Riverhead Police Department in
1968. John attained the position of Police Investigator and was in
charge of the Juvenile Aid Bureau from 1983 to 1988 when he retired.
After retiring from the Police Department he joined Suffolk County
National Bank in the auto finance division and rose to Vice President in
charge of Dealer Finance. John left Suffolk County National Bank in 2003
and worked for North Fork Bank until 2007. John was elected Riverhead
Town Councilman in 2006 for a four year term.
