Purpose: Maintains all
public town-owned roadways including paving, repair and snow-plowing. Perform roadside
clean-up efforts.
Notice: PLEASE
call the Highway Department before putting ANYTHING in the grassy area adjacent to the edge of
the roadway in front of your property. This area is Town property,
and is frequently used in the event that work needs to be
done by the Highway Department or any Utility Company. (KEYSPAN, etc.).
BE ADVISED THE TOWN IS NOT
REQUIRED TO REPAIR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO plantings, paving stone, driveway aprons, sprinklers,
mailboxes etc. in these areas. Anything put
on your property must be behind the property monument. Kindly email or
