PLANNING DEPARTMENT NEWS
The Riverhead Town Board and Planning
Department have made significant progress in implementing the land use
policies of the Town of Riverhead Comprehensive Plan. Code revisions to
the Riverhead Zoning Ordinance have been the most important short-term
priority for the Town Board since the adoption of the Comprehensive Plan
on November 3, 2003. The Town Board held a series of public hearings and
special meetings in the Spring and Fall of 2004 to hear and adopt each
of the new districts proposed in the Comprehensive Plan.
